Criteria, Processes, Factors, and Procedures Used in Admissions
(Data appear as originally submitted by this school)
Full-time traditional two-year and full-time accelerated programs: The UConn MBA Program admits only the best and brightest MBA candidates from all around the world. The admissions committee gives careful consideration to each applicant and focuses on all sections of the application to learn more about the individual.
Executive program: Admission into UConn’s Executive MBA Program is highly competitive. The most important criterion for admission into UConn’s EMBA Program is work experience quantity and quality. The minimum requirement is only 5 years; however the class average is typically more than ten years.
Part-time program: Admission to the UConn part-time MBA programs located in Hartford, Stamford and Waterbury is highly selective. It is based on three primary criteria: years and quality of work experience; prior academic performance, as demonstrated by grade point averages in undergraduate as well as prior graduate coursework; and performance on the GMAT test.
Part-time distance learning program: For admission consideration into UConn’s online MS in Accounting program (MSA), applicants must have an undergraduate degree and completed eight accounting courses (financial accounting, managerial accounting, intermediate accounting I & II, US federal income tax, cost accounting, advanced accounting, and assurance services).
