Criteria, Processes, Factors, and Procedures Used in Admissions
(Data appear as originally submitted by this school)
Full-time traditional two-year and full-time accelerated programs: The admissions decision is based on the candidate’s potential to be successful in the program, his or her ability to contribute to the class perspective and Smith’s ability to accommodate a limited number of students. Work experience gives an important edge; GPA, GMAT scores, a resume and two letters of recommendation related to the applicant’s professional and academic performance are required.
Executive program: Applicants tend to have an undergraduate degree, 8-20 years of professional experience and significant management experience. Candidates are reviewed as unique individuals and the sum of their experiences evaluated. They must submit an application with essays, transcripts, a sponsorship letter, and two letters of recommendation on their professional expertise. An interview is also required.
Part-time program: The admissions decision is based on the candidate’s potential to be successful in the program, his or her ability to contribute to the class perspective and Smith’s ability to accommodate a limited number of students. Work experience gives an important edge; GPA, GMAT scores, a resume and two letters of recommendation related to the applicant’s professional and academic performance are required.
